On September 4, 2019, the Taycan celebrated its premiere as the first series-produced electric sports car from the Porsche brand on three continents at the same time. The first models in the new series were called Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo. When they debuted, they were among the sports car manufacturer's most powerful series models. From the very beginning, the Taycan models impressed with their consistently sporty driving characteristics, short charging times thanks to 800-volt technology and unrestricted suitability for everyday use. The electric sports car has so far received around 50 international awards, primarily in the main markets of Germany, the USA, Great Britain and China.
